We acquired a large trove of black angora, and decided to ply it with our hand painted silk bourette (wild harvested). The silk gains softness through plying, the angora becomes easier to knit (you can see your stitches, for one thing), and it releases black from funerary boredom, showing what it is really made from (all colors), like a flash of ankle in hoop skirt days.
"BUNNUIT"? We made the word up based on the sound of "good night" in French (night = black), delighting in the fact that it also sounds like "bunny". That's how easily entertained we are. We hope that you'll find this yarn entertaining to knit. Perfect for cold weather accessories -- send us a picture of you and/or yours all bundled up in Bunnuit, ok?
