We developed this yarn from the inspiration of Japan's famous animator, Hayao Miyazake, friend to children of all ages, everywhere. His strength as an artist comes from insightful observation, not just with the eye, but also with the heart. In a world where the easily visible is often an illusion, it takes great courage and strength to see deeply. But also humility. We try to dye in that spirit.
The best way to learn about ANIME, the yarn, is to try some. It's a very special experience. We sell samples by the yard -- order as much or as little as you like!
Then knit away while watching one of Miyazaki's great films -- Spirited Away, Totoro, Ponyo, and many others. It will be like a vacation in a place where you've always been, but never seen.
